okay my posts have been sporadic to say the least, I know. But here is a belated week 29 pic. BIG.
Was just about to run out the door to Home Beautiful in that pic, which has been fun and good to be back in an office and feeling all professional. I love walking past all the mag office doors – Who, Marie Claire, Women’s Health, Men’s Health (ahem) etc. Hilarious, the other day a girl strolled out of the Women’s Health offices in trainers and a velour tracksuit, all slim and gorgeous looking. It looked a bit like she’d run to work (although who would run in a velour tracksuit?). Funny though.
This morning Marsh and I headed to the monthly Pyrmont markets. I’d never been, and it was heaps of fun. Marsh bought a piece of fresh truffle (OMG) and a whole duck, we bought cheese, veg, fresh pasta, juice and various pork products, I also got some olive oil. And also there were loads of dogs, importantly some sausage dogs, importantly wearing jackets. It was pretty cold.
Muz missed his flight home last night…he left his passport at the hotel. Sigh. I was totally bummed about that, I was so geared up for seeing him this morning. Anyway, he caught a flight to Singapore at 2am this morning, and is due here at 7pm tonight. FINALLY. I’ve hated him being away this week. Aside from missing him, Ped’s turning into an unruly teenager who is missing the presence of a male in the house. Possibly the bad behaviour (mostly excessive barking) is also due to me not being around so much, and hence him being a bit outraged and not so tired.
In other exciting news, I bought some sausages from Victor Churchill the other night and asked if they had any dog bones, which they did. Not only did they not charge (love it) but the bones look AMAZING. Ped had one lying in the sun in the garden this afternoon. He was so happy. About an hour of crunching later, I saw him digging a little hole in the corner of the garden bed and dropping a tiny bit of bone into it, then covering it up with his note. Cute.
So tonight when Muz gets home I’ll make a really simple pasta with the market finds from today – fresh squid ink pasta with streaky bacon, chilli, zucchini and olive oil. Yum. And then some aged goats cheese to finish, and some fresh strawberries. Exciting.
